The Roost

A painting to freshen the palette in between projects. Had the idea of a port in the ocean that was the hub for a fantasy world's letter/mail service (Using carrier seagulls of course). Designed the outpost using a double lock canal system so the ships can maneuver their way into the central hub, providing access to where the gulls roost. May do a close up of the canal system later but wanted to get an establishing shot done.
